In addition, mechanical problems or alignment in the foot can change the mechanics and joint position higher in the kinetic chain, including ankles, knees, hips, back and even neck! Thus, the posture of the foot related to posture one's whole body and mechanical foot problems can cause or contribute to pain in other areas of the body. Not corrected, postural imbalances and uneven wear of the joints that can accelerate the degeneration of the joints (arthritis).
